Booking Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to every booking taken by Gecko Groove for an entertainment booking and to be agreed to by the person who makes the booking and pays the booking deposit. This person will be referred to as ‘Client’ throughout these terms and conditions.

Booking Deposit

Gecko Groove requires private clients to pay a deposit when booking entertainment for weddings, corporate events or private functions. This deposit is 20% of the agreed total package price.This deposit is non-refundable (Gecko Groove will only refund a deposit payment when the engagement has had to be cancelled by Gecko Groove, in this case, the full deposit will be refunded). Deposits must be received before Gecko Groove can officially secure any date.

1st Payment

Gecko Groove requires clients to pay 50% of the remaining balance 30 days prior to the event.

Final Balance

The final balance for any booking must be received by bank transfer 7 days prior to the event date.

Cancellation

Cancellation: If Gecko Groove has to cancel this contract for reasons beyond their control (injury, sickness etc.) liability shall be limited to a full refund of all monies paid.

Cancellation by the client

7 Days from event date - 100% of the outstanding balance due

30 Days from event date – 50% of the outstanding balance due

The above cancellation fees are an important part of the terms and conditions agreement and are accepted by the client on payment of a booking deposit. All cancellation fees must be paid within 10 days of cancelling the booking.

Force Majeure

In the event that it shall become impossible for Gecko Groove to fulfil their obligation due to circumstances beyond their control (including, but not limited to, “Acts of God”, adverse weather, civil unrest, industrial action or war) Gecko Groove or the Client may cancel the performance without penalty other than loss of any booking deposit already paid.

Performance Times

The performance times are specified in the booking confirmation. Please note that contracted start times are based on Gecko Groove having access to the performance area 90 minutes before the contracted start time.Gecko Groove is not responsible for time overruns caused by any 3rd party such as venue, caterer or Client. Performance finish time will be 12 (midnight) unless otherwise agreed between Gecko Groove and the Client. Late finishes will be subject to an additional cost. Standard package included 2 sets of music. 3 sets will be charged at an additional cost.

Expenses

Additional travel costs may apply depending on venue location and requirements. 

Requirements for the Band

The client shall provide a suitable performance area for the band and ensure there is an adequate and safe power source and sufficient power outlets, at least 4 independent sockets.

The band always operates in a respectful manner, and this may include keeping the volume at a reasonable level when asked by the staff of the venue.

For all-day bookings, please provide catering and a soft drinks tab at the bar under the name ‘Band’.
